The Macrotis, or more commonly known as the Bilby, is a small nocturnal marsupial. The Bilby eats insects, spiders, fruit and very small animals. One hundred years ago the Bilby was one of Australia's most common marsupials, but recently due to habitat loss they have become an endangered species.
