Magna Carta (or Great Charter) is a charter of human rights. It is a foundational source of the constitutions of all countries that speak English and follows principles of Common Law. In Australia, the most relevant and influential part is Clause 29 of King Edward I's reissue in 1297:

"No free man shall be taken or imprisoned, or disseized of his freehold, or liberties, or free customs, or be outlawed, or exiled, or in any other wise destroyed; nor will we not pass upon him, nor condemn him, but by lawful judgment of his Peers, or by the law of the land. We will sell to no man, we will not deny or defer to any man either Justice or Right."

This PNC cover features a commemorative UK £2 Brilliant Uncirculated coin designed by John Bergdahl. It also features the Royal Mail stamp commemorating the 800th anniversary of Magnacarta.
