This special medallion cover commemorates the ninth FIFA Women’s World Cup™. Hosted by Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, it was the first to be held in the southern hemisphere and the first to be hosted by two nations. From 20 July to 20 August 2023, a record 32 nations competed for the coveted trophy at venues across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. Tazuni™ is an energetic, football-loving penguin based on the species endemic to the region, Eudyptula minor, or Little Penguin. Capturing the spirit of an event that went Beyond Greatness™, Tazuni’s name is a fusion of her home in the Tasman Sea and “unity”, a key value of the event.
